Big East: No longer a Football Conference


With this the BIG East is wiped out as a football conference. The Big 12 is also weakened a lot. The SEC remains the elite football conference and the ACC would be the elite basketball conference.
If I had to guess, this would be very close to what I would suggest.

and drew, ive talked to some guys with intimate knowledge of the SEC TV contract and I have been assured that if the conference expands, the TV deal will be reworked.

If I had to make some minor changes in Hoard's post, I am not sure the PAC-10 takes Boise State, they do not really fit with the PAC-10. Utah, Colorado, maybe Fresno State, but thats a stretch.

Here is how I think it ends up, if they go to 16-team power conf's

Big East-done, no longer a conference.

ACC-loses FSU and GT, gains WVU, Cuse, UConn, Pitt, L'Ville, and USF.

Big 10-Add Missouri, Rutgers, Nebraska, Cincy, and Notre Dame.

Big XII-loses Missouri and Nebraska and Colorado, adds TCU, SMU, Houston.

Pac-10-Add Colorado and Utah.

SEC-Adds Texas, AnM, FSU, and GT. Possibly not go after the ACC and just kill the Big XII by adding OU and OSU. Clemson is the one team I really thought the SEC would go after, but all indications are that the SEC is not gonna go after them hard unless none of the Big XII teams are interested.

Its really all still up in the air, nobody really knows wahts gonna happen. We wont know anything for sure until the Big 10 makes their move.
